I am a retired Indian diplomat living in the city of Jaipur in Rajasthan, India. I am interested in in spirituality, mysticism, theology, art, museum development and archaeological sites.
I am also deeply interested in observing nature and animal behaviour. Related to my interest in spirituality is my obsession in reading about New Age thought which seeks to align spirituality and mysticism with science to show that they are indeed two sides of the same coin. My writings and poems support this view, that as science progresses it appears to get more and more mystical in its findings, particularly at the sub atomic levels – The findings of Quantum Physics for instance are not very different from the findings of mystical seers and thinkers of yore about the nature of reality- a revolution in thought bringing together science and spirit, appears to have gathered momentum in the 20th and now the 21st centuries.
Most of my life I have been intrigued by the concept of the Soul. Every faith speaks of it, many scholars have written about it, both in the past and in what is called New Age literature. In common parlance too we refer to the Soul so often. Yet it is the most ambiguous of concepts to truly comprehend. My curiosity led me to research what the different scriptures say about it – all refer to it. Later I sought to understand its metaphysical significance and reality and even experience its presence mystically through meditation, poetry, music and literature.
This is my primary blog entitled SEARCH FOR THE SOUL ( indrajitrathore.wordpress.com ) in which I have tried to share whatever I have gleaned from diverse sources on the subject.
My second blog, MYPOEMS ( mypoemsindrajitrathore.wordpress.com ), however presents only my poems on mystical insights and experiences, nature and animal behavior, human relationships, heritage and culture, peoples, lands and travel, faith, the cosmos, God and revered Hindu deities and introspection.
I regard my poems as thought forms having an organic reality of their own. they arise from a lifetime of mystical introspection, the experience of living or my interface with nature and find expression through the rhythms of the mind. At times, it is the rhythm that initiates the grasping of a thought. At others, it is the thought, grown pregnant, that arouses a rhythm and sometimes they come together. I hope they will strike a sympathetic chord in the reader and recreate in his mind the same complex experience which spurred their creation.
Yes, we have much in common! _/l\_

Hi, love your writings I resonate with them so much. I too am interested in all things mystical, Spiritual and Metaphysical. I love Quantum Physics – what I understand of it anyway ! Look forward to reading more of your blogs. Thank you for following me, I now have another life long friend. Namaste my friend.

Indeed I feel the same way – rare these days to find such interest – wonder if you have read: the Dancing Wu Li Masters by Gary Zukav 1979; The Tao of Physics by Fritjof Capra 1975;
The Awakening Earth by Peter Russel;latest The Field by Lynne Mc Taggart the quest for the secret force of the universe 1987 (and their other subsequent books), and the Sci Fi Arther C Clark’s Childhoods End – all in your noble genre – you must have but if not don’t loose any time to do so – what you are upon is what only matters really today! my blog search for the soul has begun with the Hindu origins of this thought, ancient as the hills but will hopefully continue charting the indian mystics (I’m not merely interested in theory and intellect but in the heart and soul of it), later the christian, muslim, jewish, buddhist concepts of the soul and finally or even earlier, the New Age thought about it married to science – hope i can do it (smile) – Namaste and good wishes – fellow traveller.

I am afraid I haven’t read any of the books you quote here although I have other Fritjof Capra books and Lynne McTaggart is next on my list. I need to finish the ones I have started reading first though. Some of my favourite authors are: Deepak Chopra, Bruce Lipton, Gregg Braden, Caroline Myss, Candace Pert and others of this same calibre. I have read Maurice Nicoll books-Psychological Commentaries on the teachings of Gurdjief & Ouspensky (Originally published the 1950’s but my editions were 1980). Have you read any of Paul Brunton Books? ie; The Wisdom of the Overself, Hidden Teachings beyong Yoga, The Body, Emotions & Ethics: The Intellect ? I have got his books dating back from the 60’s right up to the 80’s! I have read many books about the Kabbalah aswell. I have got and attempted to read ‘God Talks with Arjuna: The Bhagavad Gita – The Royal Science of Realization’ (Books 1-5 & 6-18) by Paramahansa Yogananda, but I struggle with it, my understanding is not quite there yet. However, I have also got and have read ‘The Second Coming Of Christ: The Resurrection of The Christ Within You – A Revelatory Commentary on the Original Teachings of Jesus. (Volume 1 & 2) by Paramahansa Yogananda. My understanding resonates far better with these writings; I feel that the frequency of Yogananda’s words and teachings reach my Soul. Oh I could go on and on I feel so passionate about Spiritual Philosophy however, I will leave you in peace now my friend. Namaste.

You are welcome and deserving! Don’t worry about the “rules” as they as really up to the blogger. It does take quite a bit of time to set it all up and notify everyone, etc. I had started a post about animal spirits/guides a while ago, but it wasn’t flowing. I will write one at some point.

We are writing to you to express/exchange regarding mutual opportunity for collaboration.
We saw your articles on your blog and we are intrigued by the content you have written.
Shree Kalyanika Himalaya Dev Sthanam portrays a clear picture of a modern day Ashram that not only creates an ideal environment for a spiritual seeker but also motivates a novice towards spirituality. The Ashram carries out its objective using various tools like publication of books, pamphlets and magazines dealing scientifically with all the aspects of Yoga and Vedanta, human religion and philosophy; organising cultural and spiritual conferences and discourses, establishing Schools and Gurukulam for the revival of true Sanatan culture. The Ashram also functions as an ideal place of spiritual retreat for the citizens of the world, wherein they can renew themselves and recreate and refresh their being- physically, mentally, morally and spiritually.
We are focusing on enabling networks of spiritually conscious content and its creators to promote Sanatan philosophy. We are launching the magazine ‘Dhyan Praveshika'(tentative title), for which we are seeking writers who wish to write on spiritually relevant contemporary issues. Through this platform we intend to raise consciousness and spiritual awareness of our audience – people who are seeking to realize themselves and the conscious/global citizens and for which, I will like to inquire if you can contribute to this magazine.
You can learn more about us at – shrikalyanika.org
We believe your voice can provide invaluable inspiration & vigor to our audience.
We hope to hear from you and begin a dialogue for collaboration.
Regards,
Shri Kalyanika

it is people that make a blog – my ambition and dream was to put together in one place ALL my thoughts and writings including poetry about the Spirit and metaphysics – like creating a monument in cyberspace – and i have indeed achieved that because even if i don’t post for a month, the daily traffic continues without any sponsoring or cost – like people visiting a shrine – and that encourages me to post further experiences and thoughts – later i hope to turn this into a book – thanks for your interest

If nature revealed all her secrets and the cosmos gave us all the answers, what would all the so called experts do for a living with nothing to sell? Only in the stillness of silence do we find unity but when we look for answers we make waves of disunity and our soul knows it while the brain makes waves seeking.

Dear friend, genuine repentance and recitation of those words will protect you from calamities:
“F a l u n D a f a is Good” and “Truth, Compassion, Forbearance is Good”.
F a l u n D a f a (or F a l u n G o n g) is a spiritual cultivation practice for mind and body that is widely spreading in the world, it is based on the principles of the Universe:
真 Truthfulness
善 Compassion
忍 Forbearance
It includes gentle exercises and meditation. It helped millions of people to regain health, peace of mind and obtain spiritual fulfilment. Since 1999 this peaceful practice has been brutally persecuted by the CCP (Chinese communist party) in Mainland China. More than 100 million people around the world practice Falun Gong.
